Hi @Snow_Leopard , welcome! :). I am a pet-lover also. I have 2 large dogs, one of which definitely still thinks she is a lap dog.

I enjoy photography, listening to music, reading, drawing, writing poetry and playing video games. 

The Guinea pigs and cats don’t interact with each other.

I don’t have a particular reason for being here, just trying to be more social

How old are your guinea pigs?

@Snow_Leopard i love listening to music, do colouring, write poetry and listen to audiobooks. I also love all different types of crafts ☺️.

I think the Guinea pigs are four years old. 

I think I'm a bit scared of them because they remind me of rodents and I'm scared of rodents @Snow_Leopard 

But I know they are certainly very different!

Actually, I was never scared of rodents until.... I stepped on one... FULL ON stepped on it. I STILL remember it to this day and it happened about 20 years ago @Snow_Leopard

Nothing interesting on my end. Just meetings, admin, work... actually, I worked on some lego. @Snow_Leopard Just a little. 

I'm running on very little sleep. I only slept about 2 hrs...

@Snow_Leopard if you ever feel like reading some cheesy jokes and puns that are often cringe worthy, I created a thread not long ago for sharing socks. I have a very large collection of funky socks so I started sharing pics of them on here and have a bit of fun with the jokes and puns ☺️. Kind of @tyme. I don’t talk to my sisters that often, and I don’t talk to my brother or dad at all. My mum and I live together.

I enjoy photography, listening to music, writing poetry, reading, playing video games, and drawing. 
I don’t have any irl friends. 

@Snow_Leopard i like metal also 😊, although i listen to christian metal because of the effects of lyrics on my mind, since i was a teen. There is a number of others on the forums who are into music, including a thread for A song that describes your current emotional state TW in case you are interested.

I am not good at taking photos, but i like it bexause it helps me remember moments later. Since i like wildlife, a lot of my photos are of animals lol.

What do you like taking photos of?

If you ever feel like sharing pics of your drawings, I'm always up for appreciating someones creativity 😊. I sometimes did drawing when i was younger as a way to express how i felt; i still have a number of art pads and graphite pencils.

What video games do you like?

Im not into video games much, but i like Fallout because of the VATS and companions lol. I can't aim well myself 🤣🤣 but i like the open storyline. Otherwise i like more "cozy" games that i can just plod away at.

I like taking photos of animals. But I also like taking plants and fungi (mainly because the sit still, 😆)

When I get home I'll show you some art. 

I like Minecraft and Animal Crossing New Horizons. I've been getting into Animal Crossing a lot lately. 

Oh nice! There is a thread where people post photos of plants (its OK if its not your own garden!) ITS GARDEN TIME 🌿 . @Shaz51 and @DownMoreThanUp and @ENKELI are keen gardeners who often post lovely photos (and many more people! Theyre just the ones off the top of my head!). I forget if @Glisten gardens or just loves going to Bunnings?

I have Animal Crossing New Horizons too 😊, its one of those "cozy games". Although i havent played it for a long time. I do rarely play video games. But i did play a little of Hello Kitty Island Adventure on my recent holiday. It is also "cozy" and it even has Retsuko as a character in it!! I have now learnt the other Hello Kitty characters due to the game 🤣. I feel educated now when I see them in japanese merchendise stores lol.

Kuromi is my next favourite Sanrio @Snow_Leopard @. I have a few Kuromi items because nowhere ever stocks Retsuko 😅. I recently bought a 3d plaster figure to pain of Kuromi, for example. Purple is my favourite colour, and I've always loved black. And Halloween type feels! 

Ohh i like your drawings! Very easily identifiable as a fennec fox (i love how big their ears are) and a flying fox (or flying squirrel? I acrually dont think i would know the difference between the 2! They both glide and are small)

Things have been not great. How have you been doing? Just tidying my Pinterest boards, what have you been up to?

I've been looking after my sister's sick kids. I've also been taking the one who's not sick, out for walks and bike rides. The weather is warm and lovely - I can't complain.

I didnt realise flyong fox was genuine fliers rather than gliders. I've learnt something new! 😁 thank you 🥰

I did not know other bats were referred to as "megabats". I have seen a microbat at my old home once, it was soo small we thought it was a baby lost/abandoned and took it to a wildlife vet --- only to learn it was an adult microbat and that they indeed like to nestle on chairs under tables outside that are warm 😅. 

I like bats. 🥰. I have a few memorable stories relating to bats which hold sentimental value for me.

All bats are the only mammal species to fly. 

Everything is a lot to deal with at the moment. 

@Snow_Leopard sorry to hear everything feels overwhelming at the moment.

I admit I've felt that way with very minor triggers lately. A small comment about something that "needs to be done" at home - even if its not really urgent (or especially if it isnt?) - can be enough to trigger the feeling of fatigue overwhelm that there is a constant need to do things piling higher and higher, and Im getting more and more tired.

I have a few ways to tackle this and keep it in check, but its just waiting for me to be having a down day to not be so resilient in my mind... 🫤 

But I ticked a task off my list today during my lunch break 😎. Celebrating the small wins.

Any tips on what you find useful when feeling overwhelmed?
