Hey @happypeople, a warm welcome and thanks for sharing your experiences with the community! Opening up in a new space takes courage, and you're being really brave in reaching out to your peers through this post.

Balancing study and work is stressful. I hear that you're also feeling really sad, nervous, and fidgety, and these changes to your mental health can make going about your day-to-day even more challenging ☹️.  So it's wonderful that you're able to hold onto the reasons you're studying. Wanting to help your community and become an educator are amazing goals to be working towards, and reminding yourself of them, is so valuable when things are tough 🌟.

When you're busy with work and study, it's equally as important to be dedicating time towards caring for yourself too. That can help with burnout and just give you a break from constantly doing something! Lifeline has a nifty resource that contains some strategies and ideas for self-care that you might find helpful: Self-care for mental health and wellbeing | Lifeline

I'm sure that the community will have some insights to share with you soon! And if you haven't already, feel free to introduce yourself here🌼.

Take care!

Hey @happypeople

I hear how hard it is to study when you're not feeling good. I can relate to this as I found study to be quite a stressful experience and went through many periods of anxiety while completing my studies. Something that I found really useful is reaching out to my school's counselling services, would that be something that you'd consider? It can be really helpful to have that support there, and it's a free service.

Hi @happypeople ,

I agree it can be very difficult balancing study, work and mental health. You are not alone in your experience of it.

Are there options to reduce how much study subjects you do at a time?

I've done this in both TAFE courses and university in the past to help me balance my work and mental health alongside my wanting to study and learn.

Becoming an educator is a great study and work goal 😍. Which age group are you focused on studying and becoming qualified in?
